Tyler serves as the Director of Privacy and Technology Enforcement for the Texas Attorney General’s Office. In his role, Tyler oversees the enforcement of Texas’ slate of privacy and technology-related laws, including Texas’ comprehensive privacy law, data broker law, biometric law, genetic testing law, and cyber breach law. Tyler also leads investigations into a variety of companies, practices, and technologies, using both Texas’ laws and federal consumer protection laws with state enforcement authority, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Restoring of Consumers Act (ROSCA), and HIPAA.
