Jennifer K. Wagner, JD, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Law, Policy, and Engineering and Anthropology at Penn State University. In addition to her primary affiliation with the School of Engineering Design and Innovation, Dr. Wagner is affiliated with the Department of Anthropology, Penn State Dickinson Law, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Institute for Computational and Data Sciences, Rock Ethics Institute, Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, Social Science Research Institute, Center for Socially Responsible AI, Center for Medical Genomics, and Center for Human Evolution and Diversity. Dr. Wagner serves as Associate Director of the Cocoziello Institute of Real Estate Innovation. Additionally, she has been a licensed attorney practicing in Pennsylvania part-time since 2007. Dr. Wagner is a multidisciplinary expert who conducts ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) research involving genetic/omic, digital health, and other emerging technologies. She’s published over 65 journal articles, her work has been cited by the Supreme Court of the United States, and her research has been funded by several NIH awards. Dr. Wagner is an Associate Editor for Human Genetics and Genomics Advances and member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Committee.
