Lauren Aronson is a partner in the Washington DC office of Amin Talati Wasserman, LLP. Her practice focuses on advertising and marketing law. She frequently initiates and defends false advertising challenges before the National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus and represents clients in Lanham Act false advertising litigation. Lauren also represents clients in investigations and actions brought by the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general relating to marketing and sales practices.
Lauren advises clients regarding the development, substantiation, approval, and defense of advertising claims in a wide range of product categories. When additional evidence is necessary to support desired claims, Lauren works with her clients to develop the needed substantiation. She counsels clients on a range of advertising-related issues, including social media, native advertising, testimonials and endorsements, consumer reviews, warranties, rebates, environmental marketing claims and sustainability, sweepstakes and promotions law, automatic renewals, pricing, and other advertising and marketing-related concerns.
