Chris Cole, a litigator and counselor, is the chair of Katten's Advertising, Marketing and Promotions practice group. He is ranked by Chambers as one of only two lawyers in Tier 1 for NAD matters. Chris was also awarded “Advertising Lawyer of the Year” for D.C. in 2023 by Best Lawyers.Chris has a deep and longstanding interest and experience in ESG matters. He is a graduate of Yale University (B.S., Biology) and the University of Miami (M.S. in marine biology and ecology). Chris received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. Chris currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Yale Alumni Fund and is the co-chair of the ABA Antitrust Section’s Consumer Protection Committee. Chris frequently writes and speaks on a wide range of advertising law topics, such as ESG, the intersection of science and law, ad fraud, FTC matters, claims substantiation, and developments in advertising litigation.
