Adam White is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, writing on the intersection of regulatory policy and the courts. He also directs the George Mason University’s Center for the Study of the Administrative State, the leading research initiative for legal scholarship on new trends in administrative law. In 2021, President Biden appointed him to the Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States; more recently, he chaired the American Bar Association’s Administrative Law Section. Previously he practiced law in Washington, specializing in energy and financial regulation. His analysis of legal and regulatory issues appears often in the Wall Street Journal; he also writes for the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Yale Journal on Regulation, the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, and other publications.
