With over 25 years of experience in communication, education, and nonprofit sectors, Ann-Marie Adams teaches courses related to public relations, media and society, critical thinking in media and media law. She holds a Master of Legal Studies from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and a Master in Corporate Communication from Ithaca College. Her research interest is the evolution of discourse, the multi-mobile nature of human interaction, and the laws that govern these venues, especially the public forum doctrine. She believes literacy (traditional and digital) is a critical component of creating opportunities, both socially and economically. Her consultation practice in public relations litigation focuses on the strategic management of communication and public perception during legal disputes or litigation processes. Currently she splits her time between the Finger Lakes Region of New York and the Lowcountry of South Carolina to teach, write, and, most importantly, porch sit.
