Mike Becker is the Executive Director of the Receivables Management Association International (RMAI), a nonprofit trade association that represents more than 600 companies that support the purchase, sale, and collection of performing and nonperforming receivables on the secondary market. Mike joined RMAI in May 2024 and oversees all aspects of the organization's operations, including the RMAI Certification Program, advocacy, strategic planning, membership development, and financial management.
Prior to joining RMAI, Mike was the Executive Vice President & CEO of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA). He was responsible for all operational aspects of the association’s national headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, and was chief executive officer of its for-profit subsidiary, PIA Services, Inc. Mike began his career at PIA in March of 2007. He headed PIA's day-to-day lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill and directed the annual PIA National Federal Legislative Summit before being named CEO in 2013.
Prior to that, he worked on the congressional relations team for the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), an organization representing pharmaceutical companies. He joined CHPA in 2004 after a stint as a legislative staffer on Capitol Hill for a former U.S. Congressman.
Becker received a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and International Politics from George Mason University and lives in the Washington suburb of Fairfax Station, Virginia with his wife and four children.
